Form Six Exams and Graduation

The Lion of Judah Academy Form 6 students are nearing the end of their national examination process – and the end of their time at LOJA.  They will be graduating this Saturday, May 13.  Forty-seven Form 6 students are taking the exams and will be receiving their Form Six certificates.

In the Tanzanian system Forms 5 and 6 are called “Advanced Level” – A-Level or “High School.”  They are two years of advanced college preparation work, beyond the normal four years of secondary school (called “Ordinary Level” or O-Level.

These Form 6 national exams will largely determine each student’s college placement possibilities so a lot is riding on them.

But while the Form 6 students are sweating out the exams, the rest of the campus is busily preparing for their graduation, which is almost here.        Over a thousand people are expected to descend upon the campus to attend the graduation, so lots of work is being done to get ready for them.  Rehearsals for special preparations are taking place daily…everything around the campus is being spiffed up…menus are being planned….  It’s going to be quite a celebration!

Our Lion of Judah Academy have an impressive record of success on their exams and have received high placements in universities across the nation of Tanzania.  Our graduates have studied, and are studying, in a wide variety of fields including medicine, pharmacology, law, agriculture, education, business, human resources, and others.

We can hardly wait to see what God has planned for these newest graduates of The Lion of Judah Academy.

By the way…we (Hart and Lynn) are currently in Tanzania…writing this from the school…and we’ll be attending the graduation Saturday.
